A Conversation with Comedian Nimesh Patel

On today's episode, Jason opens things up in reverse by dropping a quick Best Bet for this afternoon's Baltimore Ravens-Pittsburgh Steelers showdown. Let's just hope he can get back to his winning ways. Later, Jason welcomes comedian and television writer Nimesh Patel to show for a long-from conversation on a myriad of topics, including: his only regret about doing an interview with Joe Rogan following his infamous Columbia University 'incident', how the Kobe Bryant Mamba Mentality helped him to improve as a comic during the pandemic, why he's made the conscious decision not to talk about his family much during his stand-up routine, how he went from a pre-med undergrad to an 'undrafted' comedian after college, how a 'flu game'-type performance on stage is what ultimately led to him writing for Chris Rock, why it took the Detroit Pistons upsetting the Los Angeles Lakers in 2004 to rekindle his love for basketball, why he has such a deep appreciation for everything Kobe stood for, why he thinks LeBron James is a more complete player but he'd pick Kobe to beat him one-on-one, what it was like meeting Charles Barkley backstage on the set of Saturday Night Live, and much more!
