The Media's War on 'Immunized' Aaron Rodgers + Former NFL Executive of the Year Randy Mueller

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off with a deep dive into Aaron Rodgers' positive COVID-19 test that shook up the NFL world on Wednesday. In less than an hour, members of the NFL media went from being disappointed that we would be deprived of a Rodgers-Patrick Mahomes showdown to angry when they found out that Rodgers was actually unvaccinated. Recall back in August that Rodgers famously said he was 'immunized' when asked if he was vaccinated and had operated at media press conferences as if he were as well. Now, did Rodgers let him teammates down and potentially cost the Packers home field advantage in the playoffs? Yes. But, did he actually lie to the media about his vaccine status? No. Rodgers didn't do anything different than most star athletes do when pressed by the media: Give them just enough to answer the question but almost never tell them the complete truth. Plus, former NFL Executive of the Year and NFL analyst Randy Mueller swings by to explain how the Miami Dolphins put themselves in a no-win situation with the way they handled Deshaun Watson and Tua Tagovailoa, how Mike White's brilliant debut impacts the New York Jets quarterback room, why the Las Vegas Raiders decided to immediately cut Henry Ruggs after his DUI manslaughter charge and what’s next for the club moving forward, how the NFL may handle Rodgers being publicly disingenuous about his vaccination status and how his absence will impact the team moving forward, why he believes there's a lot more to the Odell Beckham Jr story than we know right now, and much more! Finally, Jason closes the show with a very special Thursday Night Football New York Jets vs Indianapolis Colts edition of the Best Bet.
