Dave Meltzer on Dave Meltzer

Dave Meltzer returns to talk about… HIMSELF! This is Dave Meltzer on Dave Meltzer, and it includes everything – the first wrestling match he ever saw, his favorite wrestlers and matches, the origins of the Wrestling Observer and 5-star rating system. He’s talking about Pat Patterson, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Rey Mysterio. He recounts what it was like covering the Monday Night Wars and his relationships then and now with Eric Bischoff and Vince McMahon. He has thoughts on today’s indie scene, and the pro-wrestling business in general, and theorizing what might happen to the biz when Vince is no longer running WWE. Plus, he explains last year’s 6-stars for Omega vs Okada, and why he rated the Shawn Michaels-Razor Ramon ladder match at the Garden higher than the Bret Hart-Owen Hart match that took place the same day.
