Taming Water - Promises That Hold Water - Mark 4, Matthew 14

If you’ve ever been on a boat when the waves suddenly pick up, you know that uneasy feeling of wondering whether things are actually okay or if you should start panicking. Water has a way of reminding us how small we are—and how little control we really have. That’s why the stories of Jesus calming storms and walking on waves hit so deeply: they show us a God who isn’t rattled by the chaos that shakes us, and who reaches for us the moment we start to sink.
