The Great Commission Was a Declaration of War | Cosmic Reclamation

When the resurrected Jesus stood on a mountain in Galilee, He did not begin the Great Commission with a suggestion. He began with a declaration:“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”Why did Jesus announce that His authority had been given to Him? What changed after the crucifixion and resurrection? In the final episode of this Divine Council arc, Bennett examines the Great Commission through the supernatural worldview of the Bible. Matthew 28 is not merely a call to recruit individual believers. It is the announcement that the authority structure established after Babel has been overturned. The nations once allotted to the sons of God are now claimed by the risen Christ. This episode connects:

• The division of the nations in Deuteronomy 32
• The judgment of the divine rulers in Psalm 82
• Satan’s offer of the kingdoms in Matthew 4
• The Son of Man’s authority in Daniel 7
• Paul’s mission to the Gentiles
• The rulers and authorities described in Ephesians
• The disarming of the powers at the cross
• The nations entering the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21

The Great Commission is not simply a religious recruitment campaign. It is the process through which the nations are reclaimed from corrupt supernatural administration and brought under the authority of Jesus Christ. The cross terminated the powers’ legal claims. The resurrection established the new authority structure. The church was commanded to carry that announcement into every nation. This is The Great Commission as Cosmic Reclamation, the fourth and final episode in the Divine Council arc.
