The Hidden World of the Bible: Nephilim, Watchers & Ancient Mysteries | Thomas Smith

What if the Bible contains an entire supernatural history that most Christians have never been taught? The Nephilim, the Watchers, the Divine Council, ancient giants, and the mysterious events of Genesis 6 raise questions that continue to challenge how we understand the biblical world. In this episode of **Broadcasting Seeds**, Bennett Tanton sits down with **Thomas Smith, creator of Rooted with Thomas**, to explore the supernatural side of Scripture, the importance of biblical history, and the stories that rarely make it into Sunday sermons. Thomas shares his personal journey back into studying Scripture, how portraying a demon-possessed man in a church production changed his relationship with the Bible, and why he started creating content that encourages people to examine God's Word for themselves. Our conversation moves into some fascinating territory: - **Genesis 6 and the Nephilim:** Who were the sons of God, and what happened when they took human wives? - **The Watchers and Fallen Angels:** What can ancient Jewish traditions tell us about the supernatural rebellion? - **The Second Incursion Theory:** If the Flood destroyed the original Nephilim, why do giant clans appear afterward? - **The Divine Council:** What does Deuteronomy 32 reveal about the division of the nations and spiritual authority? - **The Book of Enoch and Book of Giants:** How should Christians approach ancient writings outside most biblical canons? - **Goliath, Og, and the Giant Clans:** What connects the Anakim, Rephaim, and other ancient peoples? - **Nimrod and Babel:** What happened when humanity was scattered, and how does that connect to the supernatural worldview? - **Faith and Discernment:** How do we investigate extraordinary biblical claims without losing sight of Jesus Christ? We also discuss the responsibility of Christian content creators, handling theological disagreement, recognizing speculation, and keeping the message of Christ at the center of everything. The Bible is more extraordinary than many of us realize. The question is whether we're willing to study what it actually says. **Find Thomas Smith:** YouTube: Rooted with Thomas Instagram, TikTok, Facebook: @RootedWithThomas **Support Broadcasting Seeds:** Subscribe for conversations about biblical mysteries, ancient civilizations, supernatural encounters, cryptids, spiritual warfare, and the unexplained.
