Colin Cowherd Podcast - Stafford Best QB In NFC? Rookie QB’s Struggle, DeShaun Is A Disaster, McCarthy’s Masterclass

Colin starts by giving his instant reaction to the Detroit Lions overtime win over the LA Rams, and his biggest takeaway is that it’s a great LOSS for the Rams and that Matthew Stafford is the best quarterback in the NFC (3:00)!

Then Colin is joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” to break down all the week 1 NFL action! They start with the DeShaun Watson disaster in Cleveland, and why Watson is proving to be a bottom 10 starting QB in the league(19:00). They praise a nearly perfect performance from the Cowboys (22:30) and weigh in on Tom Brady’s first NFL game in the booth (27:00).

They react to a shaky performance from Caleb Williams in his debut for the Chicago Bears (30:00), an ugly win from the Chargers that Colin believes will be their blueprint for 2024 (45:00) and a fantastic performance from Sam Darnold for the Vikings (52:00).

They break down Seattle’s win over the Broncos and a rough start for rookie QB Bo Nix (57:00), and explain why Buffalo may not have the firepower to compete in a stacked AFC (01:04:00).

Finally, they single out two young quarterbacks who just don’t have what it takes to be starting NFL quarterbacks (01:14:00), and point to the secret behind USC’s early success (01:16:00).
