Leafs' Proof of Concept

Ben and Brent continue to dissect the Maple Leafs’ loss last night and where it leaves this team, or maybe more importantly their fanbase, heading back to Ottawa for Game 6. The hosts welcome on Sportsnet’s own Nick Kypreos for a Leafs therapy session on what he saw from this team last night and how concerned we should be about their lack of scoring. The Stanley Cup champ talks about what it takes to go on a long run and how the Buds can get over the hump. Next, the morning duo check in with ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski (31:20) for his outside perspective on what is going on with the Leafs and if there should be any doubt that they can close out this series. The trio discuss what Craig Berube has brought to the club, how much pressure is on captain Auston Matthews, and why there should be optimism in Leaf-land.
