Zach Thomas: Respect

Miami Dolphins Tales From The Deep A unanimous All-American at Texas Tech University, Zach Thomas broke into the NFL as a member of Jimmy Johnson’s first draft class as head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 1996. It didn’t take long for Thomas to turn his fifth-round position into one of the biggest draft-day steals in Dolphins history. Zach became the team’s starting middle linebacker almost immediately and never looked back, amassing the sixth most tackles in the history of the NFL, seven Pro Bowl selections, five first-team All-Pro nods and a permanent spot in the hearts of Dolfans around the world. Diving into The Fish Tank, Zach details just how close he and fellow linebacker and Texas native, Larry Izzo are, reveals that Dolphins don’t just swim, but also dive, sheds some light on his relationship with former Miami head coach, Nick Saban, and unveils a shocking selection in his “Top 5” players from OJ’s basketball court.
