Antseed has launched an open peer-to-peer market for AI inference alongside a $2.4 million token round for the nonprofit Antseed Foundation, led by Spark Capital. Collider, DCG, North Island Ventures, Reciprocal Ventures, Relay Capital and Venice.ai also took part. Developers route requests through a self-hosted local router without an Antseed account or platform-issued API key, while providers set their own prices. Leading models are listed at up to 97% below their official API prices, with a median discount of 54% across live listings. The network has processed nearly 150 billion tokens across 202 active sellers and settled more than $285,000 on Base. The ANTS token rewards eligible usage and lets participants stake behind providers. Gartner expects AI-optimised cloud infrastructure spending to grow 96% to $42.3 billion in 2026, while Stripe agreed to buy OpenRouter for more than $7 billion.
