269. Cricket in America, with Jimmy Bartel & Alex Malcolm

Dressed by our mates @BudgySmuggler

We're back with Budgy Smuggler to pump up their new underwear campaign. Australia's Most Ordinary Rig Josh Clutterbuck and the NRL's Hottest player Herbie Farnworth front the campaign for Australia's most comfortable underwear. The code TGC has been set up for a tasty 23% off our underwear and apparel and is valid until the end of June.

Bradman’s house is for sale, cricket’s on Amazon, the World Cup’s in America (partly), Jimmy Anderson is going to stop playing and Jimmy Bartel’s on the show. Fair to say the game’s changing. TGC’s back for a run during the World Cup, so we start by discharging our takes on weeks-old news. Things like hosting a bucks at Bradman’s childhood home, disgraceful news-breaking around Jimmy’s retirement, and questioning why the Aussies are still talking about Bairstow. The IPL has finished – absolutely gutted. Zampa says he gets a bigger buzz from international cricket. Another disgrace. Dizzy says grade cricket in SA is selfish. Very out-of-touch. Triple premiership player Jimmy Bartel joins the show: he wants to talk cricket, we want to talk Harley Reid. ESPN Cricinfo’s Alex Malcolm then balances matters with high-level insight into the World Cup. He talks structuring and match-ups, we talk tunnels and testicles. It’s a (Stuart) Broad church, and it knows what it's doing. Great to be back.
