F-O-R-E Friday - Mind the Gap: Why Your Clubs Are Costing You Strokes

From The IMAGEN Golf Podcast Daniel Guest

Are you obsessed with your driver distance but totally guessing your yardages from 115 yards out? Welcome to the "dead zone."

This week on an all-new F-O-R-E Minute Friday episode of The IMAGEN Golf Podcast, Top 100 Coach and PXG Staff Pro Daniel Guest tackles the most overlooked, "un-sexy" part of game improvement: Club Gapping. If you have a 20-yard gap between your wedges, or your 5-iron and 4-hybrid travel the exact same distance, you’re basically playing with a 13-club bag—or worse, a bag full of guesswork. Daniel breaks down why modern loft-jacking, redundant fairway woods, and uneven yardage intervals are quietly ruining your scorecard. Plus, he gives you a simple, 4-step weekend audit to fix your bag, dial in your true median carry distances, and start dropping your handicap immediately.

Golf is a game of proximity. You can’t get close if you’re guessing which swing to use. Stop practicing your mistakes and start playing better golf today!

Key Takeaways in this Episode:

The "In-Between" Panic: Why trying to "finesse" or "nuke" a club ruins your tempo and leads to fat or thin shots.
The Truth About Modern Lofts: How manufacturers are tricking you with stronger lofts, and why it creates massive gaps in your scoring clubs.
The 4-Minute Bag Audit: A step-by-step guide to finding your true median carry distances using a launch monitor.
When to See a Fitter: How bending your irons just a degree or two can completely transform your approach game.
