A Different World Is Coming Back—But Do We Still Have the Same World?

Loren LoRosa gets into the latest on the return of A Different World to Netflix, including Brandy taking on the iconic theme song and why the beloved HBCU-centered series meant so much to a generation. Loren reflects on how shows like A Different World, Moesha, Living Single and Girlfriends shaped her dreams and inspired young Black viewers to see themselves differently.

She also dives into a viral video from teacher and chef Darius Cooks that sparked a bigger conversation about literacy, education and the challenges facing Black students.
