The Patrick Madrid Show: March 18, 2024 - Hour 3

In this enlightening hour, Patrick tackles the nuances of penance and the healing journey beyond forgiveness—reminding us that while Jesus' mercy erases our sins, the echoes of our actions might still call for restitution. Patrick also questions if doing wrong for the right reasons ever stands justified, exploring historical examples that show conscience can't be compromised, even in the direst circumstances. Bob - Last Friday, you talked about not committing a mortal sin to save your family. I think you couldn't commit a mortal sin in that situation since it would not be of your own freewill. Walter - How do reparations work with the forgiveness of God regarding hurting someone? (18:57) LaShanda - What is the verse in the bible that says we have guardian angels? If we know it is a sin to kill, does that apply to people in the military? (30:17) Joseph - When it comes to personal mortifications during lent, if you have a special feast day which you like to celebrate, can you relax your penance to celebrate? (35:59) Nicole - If God wills all things for good, why do we have bad things happen? (39:32) Tom - What mysteries of the rosary should you say during lent? (47:59)
