BLOCKED: Florida State, Miami & ACC Realignment DRAMA—Senate Amendments Must WORK

The Senate proposals could reshape college football’s power structure—will Florida State, Miami, and Clemson finally break free from the ACC’s long-term grant of rights? The discussion unpacks the Protect College Sports Act, spotlighting conference realignment hurdles, the controversial five-year sit-out rule, and new 19-team caps that could lock programs out of the coveted SEC and Big Ten. Key programs like Kansas, North Carolina, and Virginia emerge as potential expansion targets, setting off a battle among college football’s elite.

Predictions fly on national title contenders, including Oregon, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Miami, and Alabama. The conversation highlights pressing roster questions—from CJ Carr’s readiness for Notre Dame to Arch Manning’s post-snap reads for Texas and Alabama’s lack of ability to run the football. With NIL caps, booster influence, and TV contracts pulling the strings, is a Super League or three mega-conferences the sport’s inevitable next step?
