The Shroud of Turin and Consciousness — Science, Physics, and Human Identity with Dr. Andrew Silverman

In this episode of The Ryan Files, Ryan Pelton is joined by medical doctor and consciousness researcher Dr. Andrew Silverman for a wide-ranging scientific examination of the Shroud of Turin and what it may reveal about consciousness, life, and human identity.

Drawing on decades of research, Dr. Silverman explores why the Shroud’s image formation continues to defy replication, how radiant energy and physics factor into current hypotheses, and what near-death experiences suggest about the nature of consciousness beyond the brain. The conversation bridges modern science, medical insight, and historical evidence to examine one of the most studied artifacts in human history.

Rather than speculation, this discussion focuses on measurable data, peer-reviewed research, and the deeper scientific questions raised by the Shroud — including what consciousness is, where it originates, and why it matters.

Topics explored include:
• Why the Shroud of Turin remains scientifically unexplained
• Image formation, radiant energy, and physical evidence
• Near-death experiences and consciousness research
• Physics, identity, and continuity of awareness
• Insights from Nobel Prize–winning scientists on consciousness
• Human potential, unity, and the implications for science
