It’s not an easy watch but France are in the semi-finals after progressing past Portugal on penalties. Charlotte Harpur is feeling optimistic about the French style but how badly do they need a Giroud up front?

Spain stun hosts Germany with a victory secured in the last-minute of extra time by Mikel Merino. Seb Stafford-Bloor reflects on a German campaign where everyone can hold their heads high.
