Individual against system

From The Totally Football Show with James Richardson The Athletic

Jimbo, Daniel Storey, Charlie Eccleshare and Lynsey Hooper watch the Premier League sign off in style ahead of the international break.

Liverpool v Man City gives us 45 minutes of pure pleasure on Sunday. Salah goes all Messi/Kinkladze, there’s a joint man of the match and comedy double act Guardiola and Dean. In terms of the title race, will City’s squad depth prove crucial in the second half of the season?

Everton take a point at Old Trafford, driven by a Doucoure transformed by Benitez. United meanwhile are not even fun to watch under Solskjaer.

Chelsea are top heading into the international break. But is Lukaku becoming less involved in the Blues’ play?

Elsewhere, there are alarm bells at Burnley, the blossoming Hwang-Jimenez partnership and David Raya – goalkeeper of the season so far.
