Make history

From The Totally Football Show with James Richardson The Athletic

Jimbo, Michael Cox, Adam Crafton and Duncan Alexander reflect on a massive midweek and preview a giant Premier League weekend.

With Ronaldo once again Man United’s saviour in the Champions League and with the Manchester derby on Saturday, we imagine what life would be like if the Portuguese superstar had signed for City. Would we see a better Mason Greenwood? More sugar in the tea at Carrington?

Antonio Conte is the new Tottenham manager – can he make the natives at Everton even more restless as Spurs travel to Goodison?

Newcastle won’t be appointing Emery but might be appointing Howe. Should we expect chaotic mismanagement in the early days of this new regime at St James Park? And should people turn their noses up at survival specialist Eddie Howe?

Plus the prospect of Xavi as Barca manager, win percentages and other banter stats.
