Soldado special

From The Totally Football Show with James Richardson The Athletic

Jimbo welcomes Michael Cox, Duncan Alexander and Adrian Clarke into the pod in a week packed full of Champions League and Premier League action.

Liverpool emerge from a tough game at Inter with a comfortable 2-0 scoreline as we rave about Van Dijk and Perisic. There’s also plenty of raving about Mbappe but less so about Real Madrid.

In the Premier League, it’s the reverse fixtures from Matchweek 1 which allows us to revisit our early season takes gone wrong. From Lukaku to Crystal Palace.

Spurs are off to the Etihad, as Antonio Conte’s head goes again in an interview to Sky Italia criticising Tottenham’s January business.

It’s the first round of the 2022 Inter Totally Cup as Duncan takes on Alvaro Romeo in a battle of quiz wits.

Plus evaluating Rodgers, Hasenhuttl and how anybody ever lost a lead before the introduction of the back-pass rule.
