Episode 397 - The Beast of Gévaudan | France’s Bloody Werewolf Mystery

In 1764, something terrifying began stalking the remote French province of Gévaudan. A wolf-like creature brutally attacked and killed its victims with horrifying consistency, seemingly outsmarting hunting parties and appearing in different forms. As the death toll climbed, rumors spread that the Beast could walk on two legs, survive bullets, and even return from the dead. We’re uncovering the nearly three-year hunt for the Beast of Gévaudan, including the brave kids who fought it off with sticks, the woman who faced it with a homemade spear, the hunters who claimed to have killed it more than once, and a royal intervention. But was this simply a massive wolf, an escaped exotic animal, a prehistoric survivor, or something paranormal? Watch the video version here. Have ghost stories of your own?
