Meet the trailblazing missionary who dedicated his life to spreading Christianity in China, leaving a lasting legacy that spans over five decades. For 51 years, he traversed the vast country, laying the groundwork for what would become the largest missionary organization in China. His tireless efforts, which began in 1865, ultimately led to the conversion of over 20,000 Chinese and the establishment of hundreds of schools and mission stations across the country.
