About

From: San Francisco

Jay Worthy is a Canadian-born, Compton-raised rapper, producer, and A&R executive widely recognized for his smooth, conversational delivery and lifestyle-focused West Coast street reportage. He is best known as one-half of the alternative hip-hop duo LNDN DRGS, a group that pioneered a distinct blend of modern G-Funk mixed with luxury soul. Rather than relying on hard-hitting, aggressive trap beats, Worthy's artistic brand heavily leverages slow-to-midtempo productions sampled from late-1970s and early-1980s R&B, soul, and funk. He is also a member of the hip hop collective Griselda.
