The Pros and Cons of the FIRE Movement #221

Financial Independence Retire Early- you’ve likely heard the term on the show and this movement has gained a lot of steam over the past decade. And even though we agree with most of the tenets of FIRE, there can be side effects or negative consequences that can occur when it’s taken too far. Just like with almost anything in life, when there isn’t a proper balance, something that’s normally good can easily become something bad. That’s what we’re going to talk about today- the pros and the aspects and behaviors that it encourages that we love. But we’re also going to cover the cons of FIRE and how certain actions could actually keep us from attaining the goals we’re truly seeking.
