#412: The Unicorns Series: Scrubbing In, Saving Lives, AND Making 200k with Mel Thacker
What does it take to become the kind of person who creates extraordinary results? In this episode, I'm joined by my client Mel Thacker, a surgeon, coach, author, speaker, and entrepreneur who grew from just over $20k to a multiple six-figure coaching business. We talk about the identity shifts that happened along the way and what it has meant for Mel to build a career that holds all the different ways she wants to contribute. Mel shares how learning to work with herself through fear, anxiety, and high-pressure situations has shaped both her work as a surgeon and the way she approaches entrepreneurship. We also explore how she uses coaching spaces, evaluates her own work, and continually turns what she learns into ideas that are uniquely hers. You'll also hear what Mel believes has contributed most to the results she has created, including immersion, implementation, service, and a deep connection to the work she wants to put into the world. This conversation is a powerful look at what becomes possible when you trust your own path, keep developing your voice, and let joy fuel the way you show up.
