Unmasked 131: A Blanket, a Button, and a Body: The Curious Case of Katie DeWitt James

What starts as a road trip pit stop to Jungle Jim’s turns into a winding tale of escape rooms, eerie bathrooms, and a historical murder mystery that still haunts Oklahoma. In this episode of Mystery Inc., we’re joined by special guest Rick —true crime aficionado and Kim's sweet n low daddy —who regales us with the chilling 1905 disappearance of Katie DeWitt James.

From a chance encounter with a mysterious woman named Fannie Norton to a body found in the Canadian River, this century-old case is dripping with unanswered questions and forgotten truths. But don’t worry, we also make room for some hilarious tangents: Pat McAfee, Straight No Chaser, and the infamous “Do Not Push” button that nearly got us kicked out of an escape room.

If you like your true crime with a side of sass and a splash of sarcasm, this episode delivers.

In This Episode, We Cover:
