Hilton Dips; JetBlue Rallies; Boeing Quarterly Loss
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Hilton Worldwide (HLT) is falling after the hotel operator gave a forecast for adjusted earnings per share for the fourth quarter that fell short of the average analyst estimate.
- JetBlue (JBLU) shares are rallying after the carrier reiterated its expectation to deliver at least $1 in earnings per share and positive free cash flow in 2028. The shares closed Monday at a record low as the airline grapples with cash burn and elevated oil prices.
- Boeing (BA) shares are on the move after posted a quarterly loss after higher costs affected its commercial-jet business. The company's total revenue grew about 4% to $24.19 billion, driven in part by stronger sales from its defense, space and security business. Boeing generated cash despite the loss, and its 737 program is progressing toward stabilized production at 47 jets a month.
