Schneider Down, Hermès Dips, Telefonica Up
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Schneider Electric SE agreed to buy industrial software firm PTC Inc. for about $22.6 billion, stepping up its effort to tap into the artificial-intelligence boom with its biggest acquisition to date.
- Hermès gets its first sell ratings in over a year, with analysts at Goldman Sachs and UBS expecting shares in the Birkin bag maker to continue to underperform on the back of more muted top-line growth than investors currently price.
- Telefonica advanced as much as 2.2% as European stocks exposed to Brazil rose after Flávio Bolsonaro surged to a surprise lead over Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the first round of Brazil’s presidential election.
