UPS Reports; JetBlue and Celestica Gain; Whirlpool Lower
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- United Parcel Service (UPS) shares are moving after it reported US package revenue for the third quarter that beat the average analyst estimate.
- JetBlue (JBLU) shares are rallying after the carrier reiterated its expectation to deliver at least $1 in earnings per share and positive free cash flow in 2028. The shares closed Monday at a record low as the airline grapples with cash burn and elevated oil prices.
- Whirlpool (WHR) is dropping after the appliance maker cut its revenue forecast for the full year to below Wall Street’s consensus. The company reported adjusted diluted earnings per share and revenue that also missed the average analyst estimates.
- Celestica (CLS) shares jumped after the electronics-manufacturer boosted revenue guidance for the full year, coming ahead of estimates. Celestica’s third-quarter adjusted earnings also beat the average analyst expectation. Analysts note meaningfully higher customer demand through 2028.
