Viking Soars; On Holding Climbs; Quest Diagnostics Drops
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Viking Therapeutics (VKTX) shares surged after its dual-action obesity shot helped patients lose weight and keep it off, even after they cut their dosing schedule in a small, exploratory study.
- On Holding (ONON) shares jump after the Swiss sneaker maker provided its three-year financial plan ahead of its Investor Day in Zurich, Switzerland. Management also declared a buyback plan of up to $1 billion of its Class A shares through the end of 2029. It reaffirmed its annual outlook and projected 3Q sales growth up ~17% in constant currency (CC) vs mid-to-high-teens prior.
- Quest Diagnostics (DGX) shares fall most intraday since 2022, after the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released new preliminary medicare payment rates for lab services.
