Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre - Luka Doncic Has a New Running Mate + The Athletic's Anthony Slater

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off by sharing his thoughts on the Dallas Mavericks' acquisition of sharpshooting big man Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets. Wood may not be a household name, but he appears to be a perfect fit alongside Luka Doncic in Dallas. The one thing that the Mavs lacked against the Golden State Warriors was a legitimate option at center, and Wood is more than capable of filling that void. If the Mavs can also keep Jalen Brunson this summer, they should be a top-4 team in the Western Conference next season. Later, The Athletic’s Anthony Slater swings by to discuss how covering the NBA Finals differs from the earlier rounds, why he believes this could be the start of a second dynastic run for the Warriors, how it was Kevin Durant who actually set the wheels in motion that led to Andrew Wiggins becoming a Warrior, what sets Steph Curry apart from other superstars around the League, the likelihood that Steph finished his career as a top-10 player in NBA history, how the tough road to the NBA Finals may have worn down the Boston Celtics, and much more!
