Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre - Rams Lay an Egg on Opening Night, NFL Week 1 Best Bets + Supercontest winner David Baker

On today's episode, Jason and Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) get the party started with a few thoughts on the Buffalo Bills' beatdown of the Los Angeles Rams on Opening Night. Josh Allen and the Bills looked as advertised, so the bigger story was how poorly the Rams played. Matthew Stafford threw a bunch of picks, Jalen Ramsey kept getting cooked and the offensive line couldn't block anyone. It's only Week 1 so it's too early to panic, but it did serve as a harsh reminder that Los Angeles needs their stars to play well every game in order to overcome the rest of their roster's shortcomings. Later, professional sports bettor and 2020 Supercontest winner David Baker swings by to discuss why he likes the Cincinnati Bengals this week both against the spread and in survivor against the Pittsburgh Steelers, why he’s high on the Indianapolis Colts as a season-long play, why he bet on the Philadelphia Eagles to win the NFC East so early in the offseason, why he’s more confident in Jameis Winston and the New Orleans Saints offense than most, why he believes Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos are easily the worst team in the AFC West – and conversely is very high on the Las Vegas Raiders, what makes the Minnesota Vikings a dark horse Super Bowl contender, and much more! Finally, J-Mac closes the show with his Best Bets for the college football slate and NFL Week 1.
