Pappygate – The Story of the Great Bourbon Heist

The case became known as Pappygate!Toby, and Jeff Waldridge, who worked in law enforcement in Kentucky at the time, tell Toby’s story in great detail. They outline the culture of the bourbon business, recount all of the events an circumstances lead up to and after Toby’s arrest and conviction, and explain how the highest level of Kentucky politics factored into Toby’s case. Toby maintains his innocence about the missing Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, but has plenty of thoughts on theories as to why he was targeted the way he was.
