Judd Utermark: Confused by Kiffin, confident in Elliott leading an Omaha run

Ole Miss baseball star Judd Utermark didn’t hold back when asked about Lane Kiffin entertaining LSU and Florida during the Rebels’ playoff push.

Utermark, who returned for a final season to chase a championship, says he can’t understand why Kiffin would look elsewhere with Ole Miss positioned for a potential CFP berth against Mississippi State on Black Friday.

Beyond the football noise, Utermark breaks down the Rebels’ fall baseball progress — from newcomer Tristan Bissetta winning the Omaha Challenge to breakout candidates like Hayden Federico — and explains why returning ace Hunter Elliott gives Ole Miss real Omaha ambitions.

Utermark calls Elliott the best pitcher in the country and says the team’s talent, depth and mindset are already aligning for a 2026 run.
