Auburn Football Player Development Analysis | Auburn Football Podcast
Auburn football may have made exactly the coaching change it needed. As Alex Golesh prepares Auburn for its SEC opener against Florida, the early returns have created an interesting conversation about where the Tigers are headed compared to where the program was under Hugh Freeze. One of the biggest issues during the previous era wasn't simply wins and losses. It was player evaluation and development. Auburn brought in highly rated talent, particularly at wide receiver, but too many players failed to develop into the difference makers their recruiting rankings suggested they could become. What's even more interesting is watching several former Auburn players move elsewhere without immediately becoming dominant players at their new programs. That raises an important question.
