Super Bowl Rematch Kicks Off NFL Season with Charles Davis + AL Cy Young Race

Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning kick off the second hour by welcoming CBS football analyst Charles Davis to help set the stage for tonight's NFL season opener between the Patriots and Seahawks. Has there ever been a Super Bowl champion entering a season with less hype than Seattle? The guys discuss if fans are underestimating their chances to repeat, what have they lost beyond Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker, and the level of trust in QB Sam Darnold. They also gauge their expectations for the Patriots after a turbulent offseason, examine the Rams and 49ers’ unusual travel plans for Australia, and project how the NFC West might unfold. After the break, Ben and Brent check in on the AL Cy Young race. Can Dylan Cease still make a run for the award, or has Cam Schlittler’s latest start made him the clear favourite?
