QUARTERBACK CONTROVERSY: Grant Wilson & Josh Hoover BATTLE As Indiana's Defense DOMINATES

Indiana Hoosiers enter their bye week facing a quarterback controversy as playoff pressure mounts. Can Josh Hoover recover in time to outduel Grant Wilson for the starting job, or will Wilson’s mobility be key against the USC Trojans? With the Big Ten title and College Football Playoff hopes on the line, Indiana’s offense needs answers fast, especially after tough performances against elite defenses like Michigan and Minnesota.

The conversation focused on Indiana’s gritty, red zone-tested defense and the emergence of kicker Paddy McAteer as an unexpected weapon with jaw-dropping 60-yard field goals. A key theme that emerged was whether Indiana’s offense can finally complement its championship-level defense, and if a healthy roster post-bye will unlock Big Ten and national championship aspirations. How far can the Hoosiers go if they solve the quarterback puzzle before title-deciding matchups against USC and other top contenders?
