REPORT: Carolina Panthers Hire Darrell Bevell—Will Bryce Young and the Offense SOAR Next Year?

The Carolina Panthers bolster their offensive coaching staff with the addition of Darrell Bevell. Will his NFL experience unlock their full potential for the 2026 season and elevate Bryce Young’s play? Questions arise about Bevell’s impact: could he take over play-calling duties, or will Dave Canales remain at the helm after leading the Panthers to an NFC South title?

Julian Council breaks down Bevell’s 15-year résumé as offensive coordinator, his connections to Russell Wilson and Tua Tagovailoa, and what his arrival means for Carolina’s offensive scheme. Key discussion points include the stability gained under Canales, lessons from Bevell’s previous stints in Seattle, Detroit, and Miami, and the ongoing debate over play-caller responsibilities. Panthers fans are left wondering—will the man behind Seattle’s infamous Super Bowl call soon shape Carolina’s offense? Don’t miss this analysis of the Panthers pursuit of sustained success.
